Opening the door to sustainable financing of agriculture

The Alternative Financing for the Agricultural Sector (FINAGRI) Chair at IAE Paris–Sorbonne Business School aims to support the agroecological transition by developing innovative solutions for sustainable financing.

DATA

Financing through the issuance of securities

is conditional on the improvement of objective natural capital indicators made possible by the investment. The financing involves a contract between the agricultural operators and the issuer of the securities, which ensures the reporting of information from the farms based on scientifically validated data. This data will make it possible to continuously assess the value created by the financing.
